FG IV basic salary starts at €4,449.31 per month. As an AD official or Temporary Agent, the same work starts higher, from €6,152.64 at AD5 and €7,876.27 at AD7, with the AD official route running through an EPSO competition and agency Temporary Agent posts recruited directly. Technical certifications and demonstrable engineering experience are often listed as advantages in the notices, alongside the standard EU nationality and two-language requirements.
