EU Institutions
Browse jobs at 30 EU institutions and agencies
The European Union is delivered by a network of institutions, agencies, and bodies. The seven core institutions — the Commission, Parliament, Council, European Council, Court of Justice, European Central Bank, and Court of Auditors — sit at the centre, supported by more than 40 decentralised agencies that handle specialised work in areas such as food safety (EFSA), aviation (EASA), border management (Frontex), data protection (EDPS), cybersecurity (ENISA), and pharmaceuticals (EMA). Together they employ around 50,000 staff across the EU.
Each institution recruits independently, but most use the same EU career system: the same grade structure, the same salary grid, and (for permanent posts) selection through EPSO open competitions. Pick an institution below to see its current vacancies, mission, headquarters, headcount, and the typical grades it hires at. If you're new to EU careers, our beginner's guide walks through the differences between institutions, agencies, and bodies, and how to choose the right entry point for your background.
