An AD5 entry-level Administrator earns approximately €4,917 to €5,565/month basic before allowances. An AD7 mid-career role earns roughly €6,800 to €7,700/month basic. Expatriation allowance (16%) and household allowance apply where eligible.
For permanent officials, Temporary Agents and Contract Agents at the central institutions: yes, EU citizenship is required. Some short-term and research roles open to non-EU nationals.
