The European Union Intellectual Property Office (“EUIPO” or “Office”) is organizing a selection procedure in order to constitute a reserve list from which to fill a vacant post of Head of Litigation Service in the Boards of Appeal Operations Area of the EUIPO

A call for expression of interest, EPSO/CAST/P/1-19/2017, (CAST Permanent), comprising several profiles, opened permanently for registration on 5 January 2017. Provided you are eligible, you may apply to 1 or more CAST Permanent profiles and/or function group(s) and you will be able to access and modify your application as and when you require. If you are already registered in the EPSO CAST Permanent there is no need to re-register. You are advised to indicate in your profile/application your continued interest in working at the EUIPO based in Alicante, Spain.
If you do not update your application or you do not declare your continued interest at least once every 6 months, your application will remain invisible to recruiters and it will be assumed that you are no longer interested in being recruited as a contract agent.

Reserve lists for temporary agents
Candidates who succeed in the selection procedures for temporary agents are placed on a reserve list. The Office may use these lists to fill vacant posts with the same profile, function group and grade. However, being on a reserve list does not guarantee employment at the EUIPO.

Salary at this grade
Basic monthly salary at AD9 runs from €10,083 (step 1) to €11,408 (top step), giving an annual range of roughly €120,996 to €136,896 before tax and allowances. Steps increase automatically every two years; the figures here are taken from the salary grid in the EU Staff Regulations.
Eligible staff posted away from their country of nationality also receive an expatriation allowance worth 16% of basic salary (around €1,613 per month at step 1 of AD9) together with household, dependent-child, and education allowances where applicable.
