## About this job:

EMA is creating a Reserve List for a Communication Officer to join a collaborative and ambitious team that translates complex scientific work into clear, engaging content that supports public and animal health.

We are looking for someone passionate about storytelling and motivated by the mission of protecting public health through accessible, impactful communications.

In this role, you will help shape strong narratives and translate them into multi-platform content, support public health campaigns, experiment with new formats and help us better understand audiences and trends to strengthen trust in science and empower people to make informed health decisions.

## In this job you will:

* Support the implementation of communication strategies and initiatives that contribute to EMA’s priorities and address stakeholder needs; * Plan, produce, coordinate and publish engaging, user‑centred content, ensuring best practices and alignment with corporate messaging and branding; * Contribute to multi‑channel communication campaigns, including co‑creative initiatives with stakeholders and evaluation of impact; * Deliver day‑to‑day communication activities, including research, drafting, review and publishing tasks, monitoring trends and performance, and reporting insights for evidence‑based decisions.

To be eligible for consideration for this position, you are required to meet the following general and specific eligibility conditions:

General conditions:

1. Enjoy full rights as a citizen of a European Union Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway; 2. Have a thorough knowledge of English (at least level C1) and a satisfactory knowledge of another official language of the European Union (at least level B2); 3. Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service.

Specific conditions:

1. A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma that must have been obtained by the closing date of this vacancy notice.

General Condition 1 and Specific Condition 1 will be verified firstly based on the application form and then you will be required to provide documentary evidence at the interview stage. Failure to present these documents may result in the disqualification from the selection procedure.

Salary at this grade

Basic monthly salary at FGIV runs from €4,449 (step 1) to €5,034 (top step), giving an annual range of roughly €53,388 to €60,408 before tax and allowances. Steps increase automatically every two years; the figures here are taken from the salary grid in the EU Staff Regulations.

Eligible staff posted away from their country of nationality also receive an expatriation allowance worth 16% of basic salary (around €712 per month at step 1 of FGIV) together with household, dependent-child, and education allowances where applicable.
