WE ARE
DG COMM’s mission is to bring Europe closer to its citizens by listening, understanding, and
communicating with them. Within DG COMM, Unit B.1 is responsible for Campaigns, which involves
translating the Commission’s political priorities into impactful communication outreach.
The successful candidate would join our team which develops and manages large-scale communication campaigns that reflect and promote the Commission's political agenda. We are also in charge of financial and contractual management throughout the campaign, ensuring compliance with transparency, privacy, and intellectual property rights.
WE PROPOSE
As an Information and Communication Assistant – Campaign Manager, you will be part of DG COMM.B1, a group of communication professionals working collaboratively to deliver impactful campaigns. You will report directly to the Head of Unit and the Deputy Head of Unit and work closely with team members specialising in strategy, project management, creative asset development, content production, monitoring and evaluation, legal advice, and financial assistance.
Your role will involve:
- Supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of multi-channel and multi-country communication campaigns. Assist in the day-to-day management of communication actions.
- Contribute to the analysis, assessment and steering of campaigns by other Commission services and Representations
- Contributing to the preparation, evaluation, and administrative management of procurement procedures.

- At least 5 years of experience in the execution, delivery and evaluation of multi-channel, multi-country communication campaigns.
- Proven project management skills: You should be hands-on and able to manage projects while working effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of financial and administrative procedures, including financial management and document management, would be an advantage.
- Strong teamwork skills: The ability to work collaboratively in a campaign team, listen to diverse perspectives, contribute to group efforts, and maintain a strong sense of responsibility.

1. Selection
➢ Am I eligible to apply?
You must meet the following eligibility criteria when you validate your application :Our rules provide that you can only be recruited as a contract agent at the European Commission if you: General criteria:
- Are a citizen of a Member State of the EU and enjoy full rights as a citizen;
- Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service;
- Are physically fit to perform the duties linked to the position;
- Produce the appropriate character references as to suitability for the performance of the duties.
- Have passed an EPSO CAST in the relevant Function Group for this position. At the stage of the application, it is sufficient to be registered in the EPSO CAST data base. Qualifications: (a) Have a level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma OR (b) a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least five years. Only qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities (e.g. by the Ministry of Education) will be accepted. Languages:
- have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU 1
- AND have a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) 2 of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.

Salary at this grade
Basic monthly salary at FGIII runs from €3,476 (step 1) to €3,932 (top step), giving an annual range of roughly €41,712 to €47,184 before tax and allowances. Steps increase automatically every two years; the figures here are taken from the salary grid in the EU Staff Regulations.
Eligible staff posted away from their country of nationality also receive an expatriation allowance worth 16% of basic salary (around €556 per month at step 1 of FGIII) together with household, dependent-child, and education allowances where applicable.
