Key responsibilities

* Experience in polymer and composite materials engineering, including development of manufacturing processes for fibre-reinforced composites. * Experience in material characterisation techniques, such as mechanical, thermal or chemical analyses. * Experience coordinating or leading multidisciplinary technical and research and design activities involving multiple stakeholders. * Knowledge of superconducting magnet construction and technologies, or of materials for cryogenic, high-voltage or radiation environments, would be an asset.

Technical competencies:

Career trajectory

Career progression for this grade staff is governed by Articles 44 to 46 of the Staff Regulations (consolidated text on EUR-Lex) and Annex IB on the promotion procedure. Step increases are automatic every two years (Art. 44); grade promotion is competitive, based on the appraisal exercise (Art. 45) and the Career Development Review. Lateral moves between Directorates-General reset the seniority clock for promotion only if the new post carries a different grade.

Language profile
